Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why should I work out with a personal trainer?
A: A personal trainer helps you set fitness goals and identifies specific areas where you can improve. A trainer also helps keep you motivated and helps you work out safely.
Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule a training session?
A: Call us at 843-723-2002 if you need to change your schedule.
We ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session.
If you give less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the missed session.
Q: Will I always work out with the same trainer?
A: You may have different trainers from session to session. All of our personal trainers are exceptionally qualified, and over time you will benefit by working out with multiple trainers.
Q: Can I work out whenever I want?
A: Training sessions are by appointment only. Call us at 843-723-2002 to discuss your schedule. You can use our cardiovascular equipment and locker rooms whenever the studio is open. To ensure your safety, however, we ask that you use weights and weight machines only under the supervision of a trainer during your scheduled sessions.
Q: What will my first session be like?
A: During your first session, you will talk with a trainer about your general health and your prior exercise experience. Your trainer will then take you through a variety of exercises to determine your fitness level and establish goals for future sessions. Feel free to ask questions at any time!
Q: Should I eat before my training session?
A: You should eat a light meal at least one hour before working out.
Q: When should I arrive for my workout?
A: Workouts begin "on the hour." You can arrive early to change into your workout clothes and to do a 5 to 10 minute cardiovascular warm-up.
Q: What should I wear during my workouts?
A:Wear clothing that is comfortable. You will be doing cardiovascular work during each session so wear shoes that are appropriate for the treadmill, elliptical trainer, or stationary bicycle.
